In 2017, Georgia and Ukraine finalized an agreement with the EU to guarantee visa-free travel. Although neither Ukraine nor Georgia are EU member-states, citizens of each country can travel to Europe without a visa, allowing them a similar freedom of movement to that of Europeans within the Schengen Area.
