EU-China Trade Deal

In January 2021, the EU finalised a comprehensive trade deal with the People's Republic of China that was seven years in the making. European politicians in favor of the agreement argue that it will address an economic imbalance, whereas other Europeans argue that the trade deal does not acknowledge human rights violations in China and that it could threaten Europe's relationship with the United States.
